Who we are…

Mike Hand

Michael L. Hand is Professor of Applied Statistics and Information Systems at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University.  With over 30 years of academic experience, he has also served on the faculty at the University of Denver and held visiting appointments at Stanford University, University of Oregon, and Aomori Public College (Japan.)  Professor Hand holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Oregon State University as well as Master and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics from Iowa State University.  He is widely recognized for distinguished teaching and is a two-time recipient of Willamette University’s highest teaching award.  Professor Hand is the coauthor of a leading college business statistics textbook and is the author or coauthor of many scholarly articles in management, statistical applications and information systems.

Professor Hand is an experienced management consultant, with clients including - Hewlett Packard, Safeco Corporation, Target Corporation, the State of Arizona, and most major agencies of the State of Oregon.  His recent work has been in the area of fraud detection models and system optimization.

Michael Doss

Michael Doss is a Contributing Assistant Professor at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University where he teaches courses in marketing research, applied quantitative analysis, and information systems.  Michael holds an M.B.A. and B.S. from Willamette University and Corban College respectively.  Michael’s work in the area of quantitative analysis and market research has included engagements with GE Interlogix, the State of Oregon, Hewlett Packard, and several not-for-profit clients.

David Parry
David holds an M.B.A. from The Atkinson Graduate School of Management and a B.S. from the University of Idaho.  David has worked primarily with Hewlett Packard in the areas of primary market research, market share analysis, and worldwide product forecasting.
